False lashes are usually the cherry on top of your makeup look. It’s easy to disregard the importance of how they’re styled because well—they’re just lashes! Wrong. Just like eyeliner, it’s important to choose the right style of lashes to go with your beautiful eyes. If you’re trying to go bold with some falsies, you might as well choose the right kind which will flatter your eyes most. Chances are you’ll be using your falsies for an important event (or grocery shopping if you’re extra like that!) so of course, you’ll want to look the best you can look!
If you have hooded eyes:
You still have that crease in your eyelids but they tend to fall a bit closer to your eyes. For eyes like these, mixed long and short strands of lashes with some separations are going to be the most flattering as they give the most lash lengthening effect on this eye shape. For hooded eyes, the longer the lashes, the better!
If you have mono-lidded eyes:
This means your eyelids don’t have that extra fold in them. This beautiful eye shape is most common in Asians. What’s great about this kind of eye shape is that it’s very versatile especially with lashes. But extra volume is ideal for this eye shape. In order to get the most volume, we recommend full false lashes which have crisscrossed lashes as these give the most voluminous effect.
If you have round eyes:
You’ve got a lot of eyelid real estate to work with. However, you’ll want to play up the sheer size of your doll-like eyes instead which means that it is better to stay away from thicker false lashes. Fuller and thicker false lashes have a tendency to make round eyes appear smaller than they actually are. Instead, work with your lovely eye shape by turning the drama of volume toward length instead. You have a beautiful eye shape which affords you the privilege of using long lashes without looking overdone. For a flattering look, opt for long false lashes that fan upwards for that added drama.
If you have deep set eyes:
Your eyes are often larger and are set deeper into the skull, creating the illusion of a more prominent brow bone. In order to bring your eyes forward so they can better compete with your brows, we suggest using ultra-long false lashes which aren’t dramatic in volume so as to take away too much from the rest of your face.
If you have almond eyes:
Then you’re in luck because you have the most versatile eye shape. Because this shape is the most universal of all eye shapes, any kind of falsies will look great on you. However, if you want to play up your natural cat-like shape, you may opt to just use some cute individual false lashes and apply them toward the far corner of your eyes for that extra blessed look!
